Nifty Feature
This is one of my favourite things about my trailer. The "kitchen" counter has a fold-up section to give you a little more space. You can see from the top photo that it is adjacent to my stove. If I remember correctly, it's about 16 inches wide. So when you are lounging in bed you have a great spot to put extra magazines, a cup of tea, etc. I'm telling you, these vintage trailers had some nifty features! How do you like my retro style LL Bean alarm clock?

You are so right, they made the best use of small spaces... I luv that you have a flip-up counter... I really should talk my hubby dearest into making one in my lil Serro Scotty.. nifty idea!

Yes, it would be an easy project to tackle. I believe it has a piano hinge and then some sort of locking bracket that keeps it up. It's amazing what a little extra counter space can do!
